Which of these two colleges i better for career prospects for experience before an MBA?
Hey, my dream is to get an MBA from the Yale School of Management. Now, I know there is a lot that goes into getting into a Yale MBA program, such as GMAT score, undergraduate GPA, etc. But I want to focus on getting a job to build up my resume before applying to Yale. So, In order to get a nice job in the business, am I better offdoing my undergraduate from the kelley School of Business at Indiana Bloomington and majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship, or going to the College of Arts and Sciences at the College of William and Mary and majoring in economics? By the way, I have a full tuition ride at Kelley, as opposed to no scholarship at William and Mary. The only thing that makes it hard for me to decide though is, that while the Kelley School is very highly regarded and prestigious, Indiana University, with all the departments put together, isnt as prestigious as the College of William and Mary.
Having a degree from a high quality undergraduate school is an important factor in getting into a good MBA program. However, both IU and W&M are high quality public universities — and I don’t think that one will give you much of an advantage over the other.
Your work experience will be important — and both schools will open doors for you there, too.
Once you are at a point where you are ready to get an MBA, I hope you consider other schools. Yale is certainly good — and has been moving up in the rankings. However, I can think of at least a dozen schools that I think are better to get an MBA.

Women In Business $65 The recognition of the capacity of women entrepreneurs in our global community is no longer a matter of debate, but a realisation that female entrepreneurship is now forming one of the major factors contributing to the development of many countries, and not just countries in transition. Most women entrepreneurs are seen to be more realistic about their commercial prodigies and often make attempts to develop them within a family environment, while men gravitate more towards developing business hierarchies with defined rules and working business procedures. Women in Business: Theory, Practice and Flexible Approaches is a practical book that provides support and practical planning tools to guide both established and aspiring female entrepreneurs. Because self-employment and entrepreneurial activities are decisions that cannot be taken lightly, a number of checklists and tests which could be used to make entrepreneurial decision-making processes easier and more effective are discussed within the framework of feminist theories.
