Problems Of Entrepreneurship

problems of entrepreneurship
ECONOMICS HELP PLZ!!! wages/interest/profit?

Y=f(L,N,K,E)
L: land, N: labor, K: capital, E: Entrepreneurship.

The return for the cost of land is RENT, the return for the cost of labor is WAGES, return for the cost of capital is INTEREST, and the return for the cost of entrepreneurship is PROFIT.

Now, my question is, what are the problems in keeping wages, interest, and profit separate from each other?

Any thoughts appreciated. Trying to do a test for Econ 202!

well you know wages to have employees to keep the company running. you pay interest and get paid interest on loans and investments repectively

you need profit for the business to survive

i don’t see how they can be separated, especially since when one factor changes it affects most the other factors!!!

Entrepreneurship in Developing Countries

Entrepreneurship in Developing Countries

$199

We specified in our launching issue that the aim of the journal is to ‘give a broad international coverage of subjects relating to entrepreneurship in China’. We have also come to realize that Chinese entrepreneurship would be better appreciated if it were to be explained and explored from an international lens. It is for this reason that this special issue of the journal is dedicated to the topic of entrepreneurship in developing countries. This is to acknowledge that entrepreneurship is the engine fueling innovation, job creation and economic growth in China and other developing economies alike. Yet, leverage of entrepreneurial opportunities across a wide range of developing countries varies significantly. A lot is still to be learned about the contexts, behaviours and processes of entrepreneurship so that the theoretical underpinnings of entrepreneurship can be strengthened, that experiences and good practices can be exchanged, and that ultimately an environment where entrepreneurship can prosper can be created. Thus, in this special issue the main aim is to present, explore and reflect on the experiences of entrepreneurship in developing countries. Across the seven research articles and one article of ‘industry insight’ in this special issue we:• Examine the problems of starting up a new business encountered by entrepreneurs in general and disadvantaged groups in particular;• Investigate the processes in which entrepreneurs manage new venture development and growth;• Explore various aspects of entrepreneurship policies that are being initiated to improve the entrepreneurship environment.

Developmental Aspects of Entrepreneurship

Developmental Aspects of Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship has a significant role to play in ensuring sustainable economic growth. However, it can only flourish in an environment conducive to entrepreneurial development and initiatives. Properly nurtured, entrepreneurship can prove to be the key to solving problems like poverty, illiteracy and unemployment, and it has the potential to spur a nation on along the path of development and prosperity. While some are born entrepreneurs, evidence suggests that entrepreneurial characteristics can be inculcated in anyone. But this is dependent on the cumulative impact of a variety of factors including family, society, social institutions, governance and leadership. This ‘environment’ is necessary not only for nurturing entrepreneurship, but also for its eventual success. This compilation of 11 papers imparts a wealth of perspectives on this subject, gaining from the theoretical and experiential insights of academics, management gurus, consultants, administrators and behavioural scientists. Lucidly written, each chapter complements the other in presenting a cohesive volume that identifies the way forward for entrepreneurial development. New start-ups, incubators, entrepreneurs, trainers, behavioural consultants and professional managers will find this book to be of great interest.

Clusters, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Clusters, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

$62

This publication explores the success of major innovation and entrepreneurship clusters in OECD countries, the challenges they now face in sustaining their positions and the lessons for other places seeking to build successful clusters.  What are the key factors for cluster success?  What problems are emerging on the horizon? Which is the appropriate role of the public sector in supporting the expansion of  clusters and overcoming the obstacles?. The book addresses these and other issues, analysing seven internationally reputed clusters in depth: Grenoble in France, Vienna in Austria, Waterloo in Canada, Dunedin in New Zealand, Medicon Valley in Scandinavia, Oxfordshire in the United Kingdom, and Madison, Wisconsin, in the United States.  For each cluster, it looks at the factors that have contributed to its growth, the impact of the cluster on local entrepreneurship performance, and the challenges faced for further expansion.  It also puts forward a set of policy recommendations geared to the broader context of cluster development. This publication is essential reading for policy makers, practitioners and academics wishing to obtain good practices in cluster development and guidance on how  to enhance the economic impact of clusters.

Social Youth Entrepreneurship

Social Youth Entrepreneurship

Youth policies in the United States-especially for economically and socially disadvantaged children-are often characterized as fragmented, inadequate, antiquated, misguided, and, at worst, negligent or even harmful. The primary systems mandated to serve youth often coexist as if in parallel universes, often at odds with each other regarding goals, priorities, and resources. To address these deep-seated problems and propose a dynamic alternative, Delgado applies extensive field research and insights from economics, urban studies, social work, and psychology, to introduce a new paradigm, social youth entrepreneurship. This approach to youth and community development integrates education, work experience, and counseling to create economic opportunities and prepare today's youth for tomorrow's challenges. A popular dictum states that our children are our future. Nevertheless, youth policies in the United States-especially for economically and socially disadvantaged children-are often characterized as fragmented, inadequate, antiquated, misguided, and, at worst, negligent or even harmful. The primary systems mandated to serve youth often coexist as if in parallel universes, often at odds with each other regarding goals, priorities, and resources. To address these deep-seated problems and propose a dynamic alternative, Delgado applies insights from a variety of fields, including economics, urban studies, social work, and psychology, to introduce a new paradigm, social youth entrepreneurship. Drawing from extensive field research, and showcasing the experiences of several innovative programs, including Food from the Hood in Los Angeles and Young Aspirations/Young Artists in New Orleans, Delgado outlines an approach to youth and community development that integrates education, work experience, and counseling. The positive results include motivating young people to sharpen their analytical and interpersonal skills, inspiring them to contribute to their communities, and preparing them to become productive members of the workforce. Meanwhile, Delgado offers practical recommendations for educators, community leaders, local businesses, and policymakers alike to support such programs.

 Airline Executives and Federal Regulation

Airline Executives and Federal Regulation

$53.58

This book is a collection of eight case studies of relationships between airline executives and federal regulatory agencies from the passage of the Air Commerce Act in 1926 to the Airline Deregulation Act of 1978. By focusing on the lives and personalities of individual entrepreneurs, W. David Lewis and his contributors hope to explore the interaction between technology, government regulation, and entrepreneurship. Each essay in the book focuses on a particular airline executive, such as Eddie Rickenbacker, Robert Six, and Donald Nyrop. Lewis has been careful to give a variety of perspective: Airlines of various types are represented — large and small, scheduled and unscheduled. Some of the executives profiled were known for having adversative relationships with federal regulators, whereas others wholeheartedly accepted regulation and thrived under it.There have been public calls for a return to airline regulation, and Lewis thinks it is not inconceivable that regulation may ultimately return if problems continue and conditions deteriorate further. But, he say’s, it is well to remember that deregulation occurred because there were flaws in the regulatory system it replaced. This collection of essays — scholarly and well documented but written in a lively style suitable for specialists and nonspecialists alike — provides a long-range perspective on the issue of airline deregulation.
